NMIXX has achieved a major career milestone. On October 20, the JYP Entertainment girl group officially scored their first-ever No. 1 song on the MelOn TOP100 chart with “Blue Valentine.” The track steadily climbed the rankings following its release, fueled by word of mouth and growing domestic airplay—eventually rising to the very top of Korea’s largest music platform.

“Blue Valentine” marks a turning point for NMIXX, whose experimental blend of pop, R&B, and jazz-inspired production had often divided listeners early in their career. This time, however, the group’s bold sound seems to have found its sweet spot: the song’s lush harmonies and melancholic chorus have resonated strongly with both the general public and K-pop fans alike. The single’s success also cements NMIXX as one of the most promising new-generation acts to come out of JYP in recent years.

Beyond MelOn, “Blue Valentine” has been performing impressively across other major platforms, entering the Bugs, Genie, and YouTube Music charts’ top tiers within hours of release. The song’s popularity coincides with a surge in NMIXX’s online presence, with performance clips trending on Korean social media and international fanbases celebrating the group’s long-awaited breakthrough.

With “Blue Valentine” now at No. 1, NMIXX joins the ranks of leading girl groups currently dominating the Korean charts. The achievement not only highlights their steady artistic growth but also signals a new phase in their career—one where their distinctive musical identity is finally connecting with a wider audience.
